#370DAYSALONE Burma 5/18

In Yangon’s Shwedagon Pagoda, Burmese worshipers follow the same clockwise rotation as many other religions; the same direction of rotation as all elements in the cosmos. The temple is both strikingly colourful and peaceful at the same time. Under the hot sun, I still remember the comforting feeling of my bare feet on the cool marble and the welcoming, smiling faces of passers by. The photo was taken in Burma (Myanmar) back in 2002 during my #370DAYSALONE around Asia and Latin America journey. Burma photo 5 of 18.
