An award-winning documentary that chronicles Omar Samra and Omar Nour’s 3,000-mile Atlantic row. What begins as a test of endurance becomes a harrowing struggle for survival — and a meditation on displacement, resilience, and solidarity.
The row was unsupported, non-stop, as part of Team O2 in the Talisker Atlantic Challenge.
18 months of preparation preceding the voyage.
During the row, the boat capsized amid 45-knot winds; both men fought to survive 13 hours in the water as beacons failed.
They dedicated their row to raising awareness about the refugee crisis and collaborated with UNHCR.
The film’s European premiere was held at the Monaco Streaming Film Festival in 2021, and it has screened at Cannes Film Festival, El Gouna, Cairo International Film Festival, among others.
